Youthful Offender Coordinator
Restorative Justice has been a pillar of Ronnie’s life and works for over ten years. He is a practiced Restorative Justice Circle Keeper and facilitator and played an integral part in the introduction of restorative justice programming into MCI-Concord. While incarcerated at Concord, he even created his own Restorative Justice curriculum, “Restoring Prison Communities”, which has since been adapted and used in college courses.
As the Youthful Offender Coordinator, Ronnie is responsible for the oversight of the Youthful Offender Coalition (YOC), where he will focus on the specific needs of youthful offenders both entering and exiting the system. Having recently returned to the community himself after serving over 20 years as a youthful offender, Ronnie is intimately aware of the unique challenges that youthful offenders face in reacclimating to the outside world and passionate about making the transition as smooth as possible. He is equally passionate about connecting with young people who are just entering the system to provide insight and support of lived experience.
Ronnie brings a deep sense of gratitude and authenticity to the TPP family, noting that he sees Restorative Justice as a way to make amends and even out the disadvantages that people are dealt.
